I honestly love how more casual Khonshu became throughout the series. At first he was something straight out of a ghost movie but by the end he was straight up wearing a 3 piece suit in a limo
I see it as. A dude who has seen way to much and been around the block 3 or 4 times. Doesn’t really care about much of anything except his own end goals; that being vengeance.
@Dern Dern Khonshu has the power to interfere on climatic events, such as windstorms, electricity and aven water. Just watch episode 2. And, considering the fact Marc step on a bird skull that is IDENTICAL to Khonshu's skull, i'm preety sure Khonshu used his powers to flood that cave. And if you don't believe me, just read the comics. Since Marc was a child, Khonshu was already breaking his mind and making him have psychological breakdowns to break his mind futher and make it easier for him to take over Marc in the future when he becomes his avatar. And i'm not inventing this, that's straight up canon.
that’s why i really enjoyed this show, it felt so disconnected from the rest of the mcu and it was such a breath of fresh air. i really hope that it stays separate from the main mcu timeline but i doubt it will happen lol
I want this dude to narrate the entirety of my life, lmfao. It's literally one of the best and most powerful voices I've ever heard in any form of fiction!
Brrruuuuv.... When I i heard "to signal an audience with the gods is to risk their wrath"" I have been feeling the same and im only on the 3rd chapter...tonight i decided to see these videos if somebody would appreciate khonshu's voice and fo real in the whole sci fi scene ever! In my opinion is in third because bane by tom hardy and Thanos by Josh brollin that was impeccable...
@SilverGhost I didn't ignore it. It was a mistake. My autocorrect also defaults to Stephen if I mistype. However, it's more likely I simply made a mistake because my post had nothing to do with the gag about his name, it was about a quote I found funny. Relax. Were not all as perfect as you are.
@Apple Therapy I like Konshu because it seems fitting hes a God not your dad he couldnt care less if 1 or 2 mortals suffer terrible consequences hes trying to save the antfarm *cough* I mean the human race, yes. So it seems like he acts reasonably for who he is, he has hes own agenda and its "good" sure steven is in mortal danger, but we cant just let Ammit roaming around 1 mans life seems like a decent price for humanity
"Did he just throw the gun" still has to be one of my favorite lines in this show. We don't see him but we all know that Khonshu was facepalming hard when he watched this happen.
I love Khonshu, just a shame how you missed two of the best scenes, those being the "I remember that night. I remember every night" and the Jake Lockley scene
It's kinda appropriate how sad he sounds. Like he's seen too much, but he can't die. He probably said goodbye to so many gods and avatars he's probably very lonely
Khonshu is a great anti-hero God. He does what he does for the right reasons, but he really is a manipulative deceptive asshole. He's better than Ammit because while Ammit destroys those who *might* do wrong, Khonshu gives them the chance to do the right thing. Ultimately that is why Khonshu is right about Ammit; the thing she takes away is choice, and Khonshu wants people to have the right to choose.
You know…Khonshu wasn’t really evil. Marc and Steven treated him like a villain but he really wasn’t. Yeah he was a dick and manipulative a lot but Khonshu never had ill-intent and everything he says to Ammit shows that
@Kayn’s Princess ♡︎ Yeah that was horrible. I’m definitely not saying he’s a hero. I just don’t think he’s necessarily a villain either. He is like the perfect embodiment of anti-hero. Does bad things with good intentions
@희대의세란 My comment was trying to say how gray it all is. I think my comment was the opposite of making it black and white. I never said he was a hero just that he wasn’t a villain. I’m saying he works in the gray and that his intents are good even when he does bad
@Finn TheDog That's Amit's thing. You know, to kill people who were going to do evil. Khonshu gives a choice which makes sense. To do bad is a choice and he goes after those who made that choice. He believes in the freedom of choice and the punishment of evil. So yes, maybe he'll wait, but there's millions of other evil people out there to punish.
I see a lot of people claiming Konshu as evil. I'd like to present this as a counterpoint that raises more questions than answers because it is a matter of perspective: Konshu is a vigilante god, no different from any other superhero in the Marvel universe. He takes it upon himself to right the wrongs of the world and uses his avatar to accomplish these tasks. No different from Captain America trying to stop Hydra or Spiderman stopping the Green Goblin. On the subject of evil, the comments here demonstrate an interesting thought - are superheroes actually heroic? Does becoming a vigilante of justice make you a part of furthering the system of violence? Does acting as a vigilante cause the actual tools of justice in a society to lose legitimacy - or lose even more legitimacy than they had before? It seems that superheroes best exist when there are supervillains, anything less and society's preservation appears bleak in the face of a failed justice system. When people begin to believe they must become enforcers of law, the society becomes lawless. Ultimately, Amit and Konshu represent two different sides of vigilantism. Konshu represents a sort of vigilantism that strikes against those who made evil choices and escape justice, and Amit is a vigilante of criminal predestination - which is a power only a god could hold. Neither gives an opportunity for rehabilitation since both are focused on punishment - although Konshu has the relative moral high ground for punishing those after the crime is committed, perhaps leaving room for an alteration of one's path before the person chooses to act criminally.
@darksideofevil13 oh, right. In Polish version it's just called "Strażnicy", which can be translated both as "Watchmen" and "Guardians", hence my mistake
The first thing Khonshu acknowledges when he returns is that Marc no longer lives and the second Marc returns Khonshu is the first to be with him…I think there’s a bit of beauty in that

In the voice of Khonshu: "In the time before the time, on the mysterious island of Mata Nui, six canisters washed ashore on a golden beach, and new and powerful Legends will born.."
"I am the god Khonshu. To be my hands. My eyes. My vengeance. To be my final words against the evildoers. To bind your very being to me, and eradicate only the worst. Those who deserve it. Do you want death, or do you want life. In exchange for your life, do you swear to protect the travelers of the night, and bring my vengeance to those who would do them harm. Do you swear, to protect the travelers of the night and bring my vengeance to those who would do them harm. Rise and live again, as my fist of vengeance, as my moon knight."
3:31 Khonshu was referring probably to Jake Lockley when he said to break harrow's windpipe because marc and steven are not violent enough to break someone's windpipe, and it would be more fitting for jake to do
Marc would break someone's windpipe but he would never cuz he isn't violent but Jake can and definitely would cuz he is very violent. Look at Stevenson hand when Jake takes over, his hands are covered in blood are
Something I’ve noticed is that with Egyptian gods the more followers they have the bigger they are. Khonoshun is powerful as a moon god but he only has Marc/Steven / Jake
Not all of them are equal in power tho. Also they can get bigger at any time they want it just takes energy. The followers don’t just make them bigger but they make there power increase alot in general. Khonshu is the god of the night that why he was able to keep up with Ammit in the fight.

They did an awesome job with hiring F. Murray Abraham as Khonshu's voice, he and Morgan Freeman are perfect to voice Gods. In the point of Khonshu here, awesomely done by giving him a chill but menacing way of talking.
Dude really, I love Khonshu. Also how randomly funny he is like in 3:28 He got the seriousness as well as the humor for being an Egyptian god. By the way that mid-credit scene with the suit not included here was really awesome.
"You know I will protect you with everything I have, you are worth protecting." "I know you enjoy the work I have for you, we need each other." These lines from Khonshu is just so understandable. He knew Marc was struggling in his life, but yet he decided to give Marc a chance to prove himself. He saved Marc from death, was with him all the time. Khonshu is not good with words but yet he did things that other Egyptian gods wouldn't. He sacrificed himself and hoped his Avatar will surely rescue him, although it was Layla. Even he and Marc parted ways, he still is by his side, as Jake Lockley's friend, (Marc's third new alter lol).
Fun fact for those new to moonknight character in the comics he beat the avengers and black panther and took Thor hammer from him as well he also had the phoenix force in that same comic him and Spider-Man crossovers are hilarious Lmaoo but in a ranking and from the marvel fan base moonknight is without a doubt the top 20 most important character in the verse
Spoilers Warning Personally if I were Marc/Steven I would never be able to actually tell Khonshu *no*. Nor would I be able to be like "only temporary Avatar, dude" cuz like. Idk, lowkey obsessed with Khonshu just gonna say. I do love him, hes absolutely amazing. Even tho hes definitely just a tiny bit manipulative, hes still amazing and awesome and deserves the proper love lmao. Tho Jake definitely explains BOTH their blackouts. Especially bc they had no clue he existed, and thought each other had done all of the slaughtering but in reality it was Jake, as he were presented at the end of the 6th episode. Ngl, wish there was more of the show. Might just be my love for Khonshu and Steven/Marc tho lol. Edit: i got Jakes name wrong- Called him John 😂😂 I definitely need sleep lol

I love this show, after watching these scenes it it occurs to me and this is for every movies or series involving gods, for all their powers, spells, magic and gifts it always boils down to a classic physical fight, just occured to me is all...
Khonshu is my favourite character ngl I can’t wait for more seasons (I watched on Disney 🤡) his design is really cool in my opinion and at the start I was genuinely scared because he looked something out of a ghost movie but at the heka part I was having a heart attack 😭 Edit: also the creators forgot to add the end part with harrow and Khonshu in the suit lmao
I love Konshu hes my favorite character from moonknight, Hes definitely not a "good" guy in a moraly unambigous way... But that feels really fitting for a God, to impose hes view even if its seen as abuse, sounds like a Godly thing to do
pretty great video, there were a few scenes missing though. 1. episode 3, the scene where he tells marc to take him to the edge, right before he says "i thought he would talk" 2. episode 3, them talking outside the portal entrance before the gods meet for the trial 3. episode 3, "I remember that night. I remember every night." 4. episode 6 post credit scene there were definitely more I chose not to mention but for the most part they were minor scenes anyway, this video caught the main jist. only truly important missing ones were points 3 and 4.
In reality, Khonshu wasn’t a god of vengeance or justice. He was the moon god that gambled five whole days into creation so Isis could give birth to Horus and his siblings. He’s a strange one, but not a bad guy
@Kziila024 don’t get me started on Ammit. Ammit (also known as Amet to others depending on who you ask) was not a malevolent god at all, but an animalistic god who performed their duty when needed, which was to devour the hearts of those deemed unfit of the afterlife. She had no qualms with the other gods, nor did she even speak.
@Zachery Schmidt I don’t really think Khonshu is a bad guy. Rather, he’s the kind that believes the ends justify the means, but in a different way from Ammit.
He was also a cannibal god at one point and even after being known as a benevolent god, people still used to call upon him to protect them from the wrath of other gods.
Lmaooo I love how Khonshu is all dramatic and like “Rise and live again as my fist of vengeance! As my Moon Knight!” and then the next second he’s like “Go back to sleep, worm-“
Disagreed. The way they act is very different in my opinion and their motives; Venom is very reckless whereas Khonshu is very careful with what he does (in my opinion at least). Also, Venom’s voice is Tom Hardy’s voice with a whole lot of processing done to it. Khonshu’s voice is F. Murray Abraham’s voice with minimal processing, hence why it sounds more natural (to me).
I'm only halfway through the show, but I'm already thinking about which alter the Avengers would get along with. Marc: Clint, Strange, Kate Steven: Bruce, Scott,
My least favorite moment of the entire series was when we didn't get F Murray Abraham in Oscar Isaac's body in episode 2 lol I was so jacked up to hear that voice come out of Marc at the trial and while Oscar did a fine job with the expressionism the voice just sounded horrible. Khonshu by far the best character in the series and he was cast PERFECTLY imo
To be fair, i think it was supposed to sound horrible. Khonshu isn’t used to possessing bodies since he’s banished to Earth, he has no need to do so since he can directly interact with or appear to whoever or whatever he needs to. The other Gods reside in another space out-with Earth where it appears they need a conduit in order to directly interact with the world, therefore they can possess and pilot a body or object with ease. I could be wrong but that’s the impression i got from the trial scene.
