Their schedule doesn't get any easier. They made it thru the easiest part of the schedule. Now it's against teams that are and actually should be, ranked. Colorado had no place being ranked. And this game exposed that. Media propelled this team to being in a top 20 spot and they didn't belong there to begin with. Oregon did what they were expected and Colorado did what I expected. Now "prime" will just replace half the roster again and wonder why there's no chemistry

Gotta admit Oregon was balling. When your offensive line is able to bully the opposition’s d line and create wide open lanes for the running game like they did, it opens up the pass game so nicely. You can tell how comfortable Bo Nix looked compared to Shedeur. Really excited to see what this CU team would really look like with some better talent on both the o & d line tho. Looked like a pretty easy day at the office for that whole Oregon team
@WillzWinning Hace 2 meses
Glad to see Oregon has gotten back to a good state. Them last 2 yrs were rough. Thought Colorado would be tested this game and they were. They weren't really exposed in this game. Deion had already let it be known that the big men slots were their weakness. It was just a matter of time before a good team exploited the weakness.
@cameronhimes3558 Hace 2 meses
Don't forget about WR as a weakness and defensive backs. Oregon was easily stronger and faster in those positions. CO WRs getting no separation and the brief separation they did get the QB was not able to anticipate and get it to them. Rushing was terrible. Not a dig on coach Prime definitely building but trenches are not the only weakness.
@ldbwa1050 Hace 2 meses
Exactly. I agree with you. I don’t even think Deion expected them to win this game. It’s his first year, he just wanted to do better than last year and they did. I still respect him for what he’s trying to do with the program cause when has Colorado ever had this much attention
@rhyno8644 Hace 2 meses
You cant do anything without a defense or offense line. What was interesting to me was the way they put the smallest guys they had on the line to attack the qb. Sooner or later someone was going to expose the fact that this is really only their 4th game playing together atthe second highest level.

As someone that played college football. The biggest gaps between schools is not the skill players, it’s the big guys upfront and having depth at that position. Even Deion said it himself that he needs about 7 to 8 dawgs at the O line and D line position. To be honest he’ll need more. During the season, they have to go recruit south of the Mason Dixon line and get some beef upfront before they can compete with the elite schools.

I think Shadeur needed a game like this. We need to see how he bounces back during the season. I honestly don't thing Travis Hunter would've done much for this game or the next. But if Coach Prime is serious about this job then he needs to get rid of all the cameras and all the hype videos. Your name can't win these games. I do think in the coming years he can probably build CU into a solid team. But right now, Oregon looks like a dangerous team, firing on all cylinders
@DirtSailor5 Hace 2 meses
Don't look for him to bounce back next week. I think they will lose their ranking and end up the season aroung 4-8 or 6-6. I really doubt they're going above .500. It's still a move in the right direction but Colorado will never be a Powerhouse.
@jukeboxhero8722 Hace 2 meses
@DirtSailor5 facts. Coach Prime can recruit, but they're not going to be an elite team.
Well said. I thought Hunter might have been worth 2 TD's,but after watching the replay, Sanders didn't have time to get him the ball down field. The Pac 12 is gonna bring it like this every week. They may be going to the Big 12 just in time to resurrect the program. Colorado alum.

@DirtSailor5 Hace 2 meses
@Talkball2me not if they keep playing like a D3 School. That's not fair, D2 school. They're going to get waxed this week and they're going to end the season with only 4-6 wins. Just because Deion can make a team better doesn't mean you can make them great.
@Justmekpc Hace 2 meses
As a longtime CU fan I tried warning people this would happen They should have lost to CSU as it took two OTs and luck to beat a team at home they were favored by 24 points over Deion is flashy and brought some decent players but that’s not enough against a solid program Maybe in a few years if Deion sticks around but if FSU or someone offers him a job he will bolt As he said it’s all about the bag
@pressmaster1255 Hace 2 meses
Oregon played out of their minds!! Wow!
Wow! Oregon dominated!!! Great game.

The o-line and d-line for Colorado is atrocious. It's tough to find future NFL stars for those positions but we'll see how many guys they can replace because that's what Deion is going to have to do.
@ChadBest-ug8uo Hace 2 meses
Yes, most of the guys were lightly recruited. Probably 3 stars at best.

Sanders pocket awareness also wasn’t the greatest. Took a bunch of unnecessary sacks dropping back like 20 yards how can the O line block
@Mark-oe1df Hace 2 meses
I said that since week one. That line couldn't hold Nebraska and Colorado St. I knew it was going to be against a top program like Oregon. Deion need to figure out a way to keep these guys mentally intact for Arizona St because it's going to be the same story at USC.

I have to disagree. This isn’t high school and you have a young team that your saying is gonna be dominant next year Colorado gave prime a blank check to recruit the best well in my eyes he pulled scholarships from some really good players that where already at colorado I’m a fan of prime but this team is in his eyes where the best recruits you can get. He got everything he wanted but made a few mistakes when recruiting

3:59 it was at THIS moment you knew Oregon was about making the Buffs look out of their league. This was a statement play. You only do this when you know the other team can't beat you. They wanted to embarass them on national television, and they did. But they also had mercy, because they took some of the starting players out of the game near the end. The score could've been well into the 70s. Lastly, the Prime Effect goes both ways. It either makes teams cower, or it makes them want to dominant you. The latter happened today.
@winstonlewis5630 Hace 2 meses
Yep Nebraska folded but Colorado state and Oregon both brought their a game.
@Zenigundam Hace 2 meses
The "Prime Effect" is a load of nonsense. He has been outcoached two games in a row and is 0-2 in bowl games. When Colorado finishes the season 5-7, he needs to be on the hot seat. If Colorado's AD doesn't check him, I will.

Actually all it's done is show college head coaches are just pissy whiny children. Prime exposing them for who they really are as people. No wonder the vast majority of them will never see a day in the NFL. Not a fan of either team and i don't really watch college ball anymore, but the CU thing has been interesting to follow so i've been keeping my eye out.

despite what lanning said about playing for clicks and wins and all that, i think oregon saw this as an opportunity to showcase what they are as a program. they knew they were better and there would be alotta eyes on this game. the put together their absolute best effort and looked real slick doin it. this will have immediate dividends in recruiting, heisman voting and playoff rankings. i think oregon was playing for "clicks" as much as colorado, they just did it better. 💯🦆

My takeaways from this game: Offensive coordinator for Colorado has got to move into max protection generate offense; defensive coordinator for Colorado has got to go with four down linemen and scratch the bandit LB, DC needs to rely on dime coverages more; Oregon dictated the game from start to end; they controlled every faucet of the game. Awesome job!
@kyzor-sosay6087 Hace 2 meses
My takeaway is that oregon is a better team with better players,so are the next three teams Colorado plays. Good luck.
@gthigpen6989 Hace 2 meses
@kyzor-sosay6087 And you might be right. I can't help but noticed that every DC wants to run a 3-4 or 3-3-5 defense like the 3 down linemen are world beaters. It's laughable at best. Then, the defense placed safeties over receivers. I'll take that match-up all day. When Alabama gets beat, it's because the safeties are exposed in coverage. Oregon is good. Let's see what type of adjustments are made for USC.
