This just feels like your drunk and are remembering the might before you crashed. Its so haunting to hear all the cords take over the vocals along with Jon Batiste laughing and having a good time. It truly feels like a dream.
This album sounds so classic, so cinematic and French. Like watching a great new wave black and white movie from 60s. Such a strange feeling of pictures going by. . .this is her masterpiece.
@el george I wish the judah smith interlude was shortened or maybe not be in the albubm at all, it kinda disrupts the album as the first 4 songs are soooo good
[Jon Batiste] Oh Ooh, I feel something right now Yeah, I feel it, I feel it, feel it early Ooh, woo-hoo, I feel it early and I feel it late, hahaha Yeah, I feel it, I feel it Hahaha I feel it heavy, haha I feel it heavy, haha, I feel it all, Lord, haha Ah, oh, woah, woo, you came for the cause Oh, my God Yeah, ooh, woah You're my honey You're my honey Ooh, ooh Oh, I feel it in my soul I feel it in my soul I can feel it all over Early in the morning Early in the morning Hey, early in the morning That's pretty too, how about that? Yeah, that too
Lana del Reys part tried to be as accurate as I could) 1:04 in the dark, (la dadada) let me help you honey. our song, dancing till the dawn, i can do my dance i know that you want it (aaaaa) 2:17 Your honey Your honey You're the sun dancing to the moon, let me be the star, come on, Your honey
This interlude sums up the new Lana, in my humble opinion.. the spontaneous, joyful, surrounded by friends and laughter. She was amazing from the beginning but now she doesn’t have to hide behind glamour, her soul is enough ❤ God I love her
I was high on cali weed for the first time in a while, and the first time I listened to this album. Jon Batiste Interlude is in my top 3 of this album (or top 4, as I really can’t decide), which is rather atypical for an interlude - but it awakened something deeply within me when I was listening on repeat. The reverb flowing throughout this song emits this untouchable, almost seraphic and dreamlike state, Jon’s screams and laughter tying this song together. The synth, the piano, the distortion. The distant chanting. 2:48 “I feel it in my soul” followed by Lana’s laughter adds a touch of, what I experienced as, pure bliss and joy in the highest form. Thank you Lana and Jon for sharing this raw and beautiful piece with us. It will stay with me for a long time
This reminds me so much of pink floyd but it's so undeniably Lana in all ways, I can see a bit of every album of her in this and some never seen before stuff. Love it
@B X more the vibe than anything? Idk, it was my first impressions, but if I were to try to explain why: It sounds like if dark side of the moon song was on wish you were here, but tinged with some flares of echoes and other more psychedelic works of their early career? Something like that
@B X even though Pink Floyd used that melody a few times throughout the album, it’s most similar to “The Great Gig in the Sky’. It’s the hauntingly beautiful 4th song on TDSOTM. The piano melody sounds a bit similar to me.
I know!!! what song from Pink Floyd? I only know shine on you crazy diamond, which is also like this. I wanna listen to more similar like this interlude!!
