I am OK with wealth as long as its not stupid, exploitive wealth and the people are genuwinely grateful and happy with their stuff not just showing off or pretentious. They love both houses, they invest in both houses with new projects, they find their vibe instead of just spitting out the same, boring curated content that is currently trending. That makes it really easy to enjoy them having things.

@Trekking Teacher in Australia we have ANZAC day on the 26th of April to remember everyone who fought and the fallen of the first world War in Gallipoli. Then Remembrance Day in November on the 11th day and 11th hour we remember the ones who fought and sacrificed their lives for our freedom.

@Trekking Teacher there’s a specific reason memorial day is when it is, correlates with a date in WW1 or 2 (i should know which but my brain is fried from a conference)… Veterans Day in the US correlates with the signing of a treaty (again i should know which one but it escapes me at the moment) but it was signed at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. Thus Nov 11 is when we celebrate all veterans alive and gone. it’s so interesting to hear when other countries celebrate certain things and why, just wish i could retain it all!!! lol

@Meg34 i was really hoping that’s how i was coming off!!! i get that not everyone even realizes there is a difference, not everyone is “exposed” to any type of military/veteran culture to know. but as a currently serving service member, and veteran of OEF and OIF, i feel like a fraud if someone “celebrates” me on memorial day. i haven’t earned that distinction, and honestly hope i never do. but i try to educate anyone who is willing to receive the information in the most non-judgmental way, i just never know how it will be received. and thank you so much for your support!!!! i started this journey as a reservist before 9/11 so i could get assistance to go to school, fast forward 21 years and i have 5 deployments (only 2 combat tours) and 11 years of active time under my belt. and it never ceases to amaze me when anyone thanks me for what i do. it’s my job. i get that i can be dangerous, but it’s what i signed up for. one last thing though… thank you for making this country worth serving for!

Also if you served our Country I thank you and appreciate you from the bottom of my heart! My granddaddy was in Vietnam my family has always raised me to know the importance of those who serve and to honor them thank them and appreciate them.
