Cant believe I'm taking Barkley's side here, but he was right. Friends are supposed to be honest with each other. He didnt try to dish or trash Michael, he just honestly stated that Jordan wasnt doing a good job, and he had facts to back that up. Disrespectful would be if Barkley fakely talked about how great Jordan was handling the team just so that Jordan wouldn't get mad at him.

Think it was probably more the way he said it. Nothing to lose a friend over either way but barkley wasnt just making a point. He was making it in a way you wouldnt expect from a friend. He could of simply said he needs to change up things rather than saying he surround’s himself with ass kissers

I think, what Jordan was mad about was that his friend had to say in front of thousands of people on live television. Instead of just talking to him. Whether it was true or not is not the problem. It’s the fact that you bring attention to it publicly instead of talking to him and giving him the advice and help he needs to do a better job.

It wasn't what Chuck said, but how he said it. It was bush league imo. It's something you tell him in private. Not put on tv and blast for the whole world to see. Remember that they come from a different era where privacy was heralded. Narratives played an even more important role back then because there was no social media to clap back on. That type of mentality is engraved in these players, and folks like me who grew up in that era.

I am huge fan of Michael Jordan as a basketball player. He is truly a legend. But, I honestly don’t like his incredibly condescending attitude towards people in general. He strikes me as a hypersensitive, ego-maniacal person who gets a thrill out of dehumanizing others. He is quick to criticize everyone around him. But, no one can ever say anything about him. And, if they ever do…he’ll immediately cancel their friendship. That is quite naive from a man of his magnitude on a multitude of levels. It’s nice to be important, but way more important to be nice. MJ clearly has an invincibility complex. When you constantly belittle people bad things will happen to you eventually.

I was skeptical from the get about the title of the video. Highly competitive people tend to be brutally honest and from the outside it seems like they're being rude, disrespectful etc.
sdgakatbk Hace 20 días
@Robert Roberts "A lot of people don’t want the truth. Family and friends will blame you for being truthful" I think that is true. Sometimes a person just isn't ready for certain truths. A friend of mine talks about speaking the truth with love. She is very honest to me and I appreciate it and value what she has to say. She constantly comes up with things I hadn't considered. I think I give back to her also and hope it isn't just a one way relationship. Getting to point of having that kind of trust and openness took time and effort though it has been well worth it. I'm very glad she's a part of my life.

Barkley didn’t disrespect Jordan; telling the truth about someone’s poor performance, especially when you have facts to back it up, isn’t disrespect
IamFromBeyond Hace 2 días
@Discord Discord He did it in a respectful manner tho. MJ likely would've reacted the same way even if he told him in private, it wasn't when or where he said it that got him upset. It was specifically what he said. MJ needs to just grow the hell up and act how a billionaire who is one of the best players in a massive sport with tons of people looking up to him should act. Not like a damn baby

0:57 the reason Michael was roughing Kerr up was because Michael was mad about losing 1995 nba playoffs and lost to his former teammate Horace Grant who went over to Orlando magic so he was mad and took his anger out on Kerr because Phil Jackson started calling these ticky tack fouls

I respect MJ so much for his work ethic and drive but it’s his loss ending his friendship with Barkley. Chuck is one of the most quality human beings to ever play sports. The man is auctioning off millions of dollars worth of memorabilia to give back to the poor. He is a gift from God and Michael ended his friendship with him because he was doing his job. MJ is the GOAT but his personality is lacking.

Even being from Seattle myself back when Gary was playing for the Sonics they were terrible. That's why allot of ppl were not mad when they got sold off to another state. Every year they play worse and that year our baseball team got a new stadium. For some reason Sonics felt it was unfair even though they haven't won anything in so long and get the worst trades (and still were playing in a stadium we were still paying off for them) that they deserved a new stadium as well. All in all they asked for more money in the end Seattle said no and they got sold. Gary saying that Jordan was lucky there is just another reason why I cant respect the guy. He's all talk without the skill to back it up unlike Mike. Glad they are not our problem anymore.

*_Isaiah 53.3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth._* _Jesus Christ loves you. Repent and be saved. Only Jesus Christ saves. God bless you, and the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you and your family..._

Jordan only has 6 championships, to put this in perspective, Bill Russell has 11, Sam Jones (Celtics) has 10, Yogi Berra also has 10. Joe DiMaggio has 9, Tom Brady, Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Robert Horry, all have 7. So the goat talk isn’t about Jordan if the conversation is championships he isn’t even in top 5 in his sport.

Steve Kerr was always a nice gentleman. As a Spurs fan, I was happy when I saw him traded to San Antonio. He loved the city.and playing here for the Spurs. He still have good relationship with Spurs team, players he played with, and coach Popovic. Steve won 2 Championships with Spurs as a player. 1999, 2003 He got before that 3 championships with Chicago Bulls, then he got 3 championships as a head coach of the G. State Warriors. Kemba was offered 160mil/5years to stay there that is a hell of an offer by the Hornets. Yeah I love how Jordan beat the Pistons because they were dirty. Although later they get Rodman and all of a sudden Rodman I guess isn't dirty.

funniest thing is, that Jordan was never the biggest guy in NBA, but he knew how to be very intimidating psychologically

Im tellin ya man, the moment you start beefing with your team over SKILL nothing else is the moment you transition into a championship team. I only know this from hockey because everyone in the damn locker room gonna look around knowing who the best is and you wanna be able to keep up

There's disrespecting other players, and then there's reminding everyone of your goat status

It's always fun to hear about Jordan. He is really inspirational. Literally man. He is the definition of a winner. Work hard till u get something and don't let anyone get in your ways if they want to try it destroy them.

@Lim Junjie yeah if they have an immaculate work ethic then sure, but not everyone has his work ethic and if they’re like Patrick Beverley when they get barely shoved by accident, then well, let’s say it’s over

I think Jordan asked around about how much the other teams would get Ken for and he up it 20 mil. Sometimes we over value ourselves
